Overview
Ashleys Private School has a unique and
successful combination of solid academics, a loving environment, and valuable
character building lessons based on Christian values. The teachers and staff at
Ashleys recognize the uniqueness of each student and strive to
prepare each child to respond to the opportunities and challenges of the
twenty-first century.
Focus on Academics
Students at Ashleys Private School experience a flexible
curriculum with a strong emphasis on basic academic skills. Reading begins in
kindergarten using a phonics-based system. Ashleys students
consistently achieve at or above national norms in reading, math, language arts
and science as demonstrated by the Stanford Achievement Test.
Field trips can bring life into lessons on history,
ecology, arts and sciences. Ashleys students participate in a
variety of field trips which are coordinated with the curriculum and scheduled
throughout the year. Additionally, computer, physical education, music,
Spanish and art classes are important parts of the curriculum.

Values Matter
A great education includes more than just academics--it also provides a frame of
reference which enables students to make good choices for a lifetime. Character
is not developed in a vacuum. Children develop good values when they are
surrounded by caring adults--at home and at school--who demonstrate integrity
and concern.
Children can best achieve their potential when they
are safe, recognized and treated as individuals, and have
teachers who love to teach. At Ashleys, our small class sizes make
individualized attention possible, and our teachers make each classroom a
special place.
Appearance and Attire
Dress, attitude and actions all serve as
reference points on the road to individualism. Our goal is to maintain an
environment that provides a maximum opportunity for learning. The students
in Kindergarten through 5th grade wear the school uniform to place emphasis on
inner characteristics and provide less disruptive class instructional time.
Uniforms may be purchased from:
