CURRENT EVENTS DUE EACH FRIDAY
Students will become more aware of the 5Ws (who, what, when,
where, why/how) while reading. Students will also become
more aware of events around the world. Each week students
must select one newspaper article to write about. On
notebook paper students must write and label the 5Ws in the
article. The article must be cut out and attached to the
assignment. |

| Books for book reports must be AT
LEAST 180 pages in length! |
| REMEMBER! You MUST
have your multiplication facts committed to MEMORY! You must study
your multiplication facts for 10 minutes each evening until this is
accomplished! |

REMINDER
8:00 am is on time. 3 tardies = 1 absence. 15 absences =
grade failure. Sign in will be required at 8:01 am. Uniforms
available through MILLS (click on Uniforms tab at left).
$5 rental fee for belts, etc. if a uniform is incomplete! |
| All outerwear must be UNIFORM according to handbook policies.
Street jackets must be left in lockers until after school. Also,
for any field trips in cool weather, students must wear a UNIFORM
sweater, jacket or coat. |

BOOK REPORTS
Students are REQUIRED to read 20 minutes per night and turn in 3 book
reports per 9 weeks. Books read the first semester must be 100+ pages. Books read in
the second semester must be OVER 150 pages long.
