WEEK 1 SPELLING WORDS:

To assist your child in
learning the weekly spelling words, we will be completing the following
class activities each week:
- finding words in dictionary and writing definitions
- arranging words in ABC order
- writing sentences using the words
- completing spelling art
- working on phonics rules
- typing words in computer lab
-spelling test each Friday
REMEMBER: Spelling words will start out
very easy and get progressively more difficult as we build on the
phonics rules. |

| The Let's Learn Spanish! curriculum will be
used in the classroom. The hands-on program is taught with
puppets, music and games; making it fun for students. A cassette
tape is given to each student which coordinates with the curriculum, so
the whole family can practice at home. Knowledge of a language is
a gift for life! |
REMINDER
8:00 am is on time. 3 tardies = 1 absence. 15 absences =
grade failure. Sign in will be required at 8:01 am. Uniforms
available through Absolute Uniforms (click on Uniforms tab at left).
$5 rental fee for belts, etc. if a uniform is incomplete! |
| All outerwear must be UNIFORM according to handbook policies.
Street jackets must be left in lockers until after school. Also,
for any field trips in cool weather, students must wear a UNIFORM
sweater, jacket or coat. |
